Every culture has developed protective and lucky charms and amulets, often in the form of jewelry. To make talismans spiritually effective, pray over them as you oil, wash, or smoke them. People who are not practitioners will not recogize these items as magical.
• Use a necklace locket, box ring, or poison ring to hold a written prayer or a tiny spell packet. Seal it with glue so it cannot be opened.
• Wear a charm bracelet as a collection of lucky and protective amulets.
• Learn gemstone symbolism and buy jewelry that supports your wishes.
• Fix “ordinary” jewelry with oil or incense smoke and pray over it for your own desires, or preperaory to giving it as a gift.
• To protect your mind from influence spells, wear earrings and hair jewelry dressed with protective oils to stand guard over your brain.
• If you live with someone, wait until they are out of the house and then bless (or curse) their earrings, barrettes, caps, hats, or scarves.
• Wear reflective or sparkly jewelry, such as metallic earrings, when out in public to reverse negative spells and bounce back the evil eye.

Tarot Time With Susan Barnes
Stop Playing The Fool!
People often ask, if The Fool card appears in their reading repeatedly, does it mean there is no hope for them to stop making foolish decisions? They continue to hang out with the wrong people, make foolish choices in lovers, and act impulsively. Will they ever be able to change? The answer I give is yes. As long as they are willing to rectify and come to terms with the mistakes they’ve made in the past.
People avoid pain and seek pleasure. Sometimes, making bad decisions becomes a habit. A habit is created in 31 days -- and it can be broken in 31 days as well. We often become addicted to painful experiences: being in abusive relationships; bursting in anger before finding out the facts; acting out by being sexually promiscuous, doing drugs, drinking alcohol; insisting on being right all the time; controlling others. There are so many foolish behaviors they can’t all be listed here. You know what they are and you understand if you are acting foolish. No one has to tell you.
Like anything, letting go of foolishness takes work. Stop and think before lashing out at someone. Stop and think before posting an angry or passive aggressive post on social media. Take a class in anger management if anger is your thing. Go to a therapist if you have something you need to work on with a professional. Go to a healer, see a Shaman, see a root worker, do whatever you can to grow into an enlightened person who is on this planet to help others; to help animals or the planet; or to be an example to all who meet you.
We’ve all heard the sayings: “There’s no fool like an old fool.” That one backfires almost every time I see it played out. If someone is playing someone else, they almost always get it back. There are more: “He played her for a fool”; “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me."
The Fool card can be a contradictory card. In some readings, the client is thinking of a new business venture or moving. The client could be attracted to someone and hasn’t thought it out; perhaps the person is married, emotionally unavailable, or not right for the client.
The fool doesn’t think of the consequences, which is why we see a male or female with their head in the clouds, about to walk off a cliff.
If a new idea has popped into your head, do your due diligence; the devil is in the details.
The Fool card isn’t bad or good, it simply means the client needs to be more careful in their decisions. To me, the white flower, the fancy hat, and the snappy dress of The Fool are inducements. The Fool can be a Trickster spirit: be careful when you see him. See him for who he or she is, not for what they appear to be. Discern the spirit of the card in the spread.

Tricky Ways to Hoodoo Someone
Whenever doing a spell on a target while using their photo, always blacken their eyes. I use a permanent black marker to cover their eyes. This will keep the identity of the practitioner secret from the target. This also works when using poppets, just covering their eyes with a blindfold, or by sticking pins in their eyes.
Sometimes we want to work on someone without their knowledge, whether for their protection, to uncross them, or control them. I recommend to use a n herb bath to achieve your goal. Make a tea by boiling the herbs and letting them steep. Strain the herbs, and pour the tea in the wash when doing their laundry. You can also use the tea by adding it to their body wash, hair conditioning, and shampoo. This works very well if the person lives with you or you have access to these items.
Another way to trick someone is to prepare your spell mix, and scatter it in an area where they will be stepping on it. These could be in front of their house, around their car, in their mailbox, or around their work station at the office.
Finally, you can always gift your target a house plant, and hide the spell in the dirt. This can be done by wrapping your work in a small piece of toilet paper, that will dissolve every time your target waters the plant.

Passover Cleansing With Dr. Jeremy Weiss
Like spring cleaning, ritual, spiritual purification of the home is usually performed once a year. In the Jewish magical tradition, this occurs just before the holiday called, Passover.
This cleansing ritual is extensive and involves cleaning the whole house until it is spiritually clean. Blowtorches are used. Every inch of the home is inspected. Nothing survives. It’s no joke. If you want malevolent forces gone, this is the Jewish way of doing it.
The four basic methods of purification for kitchen items:
• Burning (libun gamur)
• Boiling (hagalah)
• Pouring boiling water (iruy kli rishon)
• Light burning (libun kal).
These methods are not simple. For instance, to qualify as a complete libun, metal must be heated until glowing-that includes all metal utensils and every part of the interior of the oven. Some people even use a blowtorch to accomplish his task.
Once the kitchen and utensils are clean the house itself is searched for anything that might possibly be construed as an impurity: dirt, dust, anything the size of a breadcrumb is removed. These impurities are called, chametz. Breadcrumbs (or anything that could appear to be construed as a possible crumb of grain or leavened bread or particles of flour) are the consummate representatives of spiritual impurity—chametz.
Prior to the search, a candle is lit and the following spell is recited:
Baruch atah adonai eloheinu melech ha’olam asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’’zivanu al be’ur chametz.
Praised are You, Adonai our G-d, Sovereign of the Universe, who has made us holy by mitzvot [commandments] and instructed us concerning the burning of the chametz.
By the light of a candle, the entire house is searched for anything that could be chametz. While using a feather as a broom, any dust suspected to contain possible spiritually toxic leaven is scooped into a wooden spoon and collected.
After the process is completed, one recites the following magical formula of annulment in Hebrew which means, “All chametz in my possession, that I have not seen or removed, shall be null and considered as the dust of the Earth.”
The following morning, the detritus is burned, and again the formula for the removal of hametz is recited, but with a slight variation:
“Any chametz that may still be in the house, that I have or have not seen, that I have or have not removed, shall be as if it does not exist, and as the dust of the Earth.”
